History of Harrison Interiors

Marguerite established her business in 1978 in burton on trent as a small antique shop. Marguerite moved premises to a Georgian shop in new street in 1980 which had 3 floors of displays of antique furniture and bric a brac.

Marguerite soon realised that the antique trade was being taken over by the stripped pine furniture and eventually into good quality reproduction pine furniture which led Marguerite to move premises again to a larger shop in Burton on Trent in 1984 where displays of quality reproduction furniture could be displayed with good shop window front – the business grew and enabled marguerite to move into bespoke furniture of both freestanding and kitchen, bedroom, home studies fittings, using highly skilled cabinet makers to which are still subcontracted by marguerite to still provide this service.

In 1999 marguerite moved to Stapenhill, Burton on Trent to a very large barn conversion that could accommodate room sets for every room, essential with the ever changing designs products and the new launches of oak, maple, painted, metal/glass furniture ranges and many home accessories.
This then led to Marguerite undertaking full interior design projects on clients’ homes and Marguerite introduced soft furnishings, lighting and fully projected contracts.

In 2008 marguerite decided to move into the present studio premises in order to offer clients a more personal service both for home projects and sourcing items to meet this more demanding market.

The studio is set a beautiful rural area of Tatenhill, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire . The owners of the property sympathetically restored the old farm building retaining all the character as you would expect that was originally used for the rearing and livery of the Bass Shire horses.

There is ample parking for visitors and Marguerite is able to offer her home consultation services for any potential client that are unable to visit or have visited the studio and wish for this extra service.

Marguerite is able to take her many sample books, brochures and material samples to clients homes for their perusal.
